Hungary: Draft Law Modifying Immigration and Asylum Laws is Out
The proposal aims at solving problems emerged during the application of the law, makes the specifications required by the transposition of EU law, eliminates the discrepancies arising from insufficient transposition, thus getting closer to the practical implementation at member state level. The draft law – among other things – covers the areas of the single work permit procedure, the refugee status determination process, and the reception of asylum seekers, with particular attention to detention.
