The Quiet Triumph at Columbia
SCC Secretary General Annette Magnusson and SCC Chairman Kaj Hober will be at Columbia Law School in New York to show The Quiet Triumph: How Arbitration Changed the World.
The movie will be shown as part of a conference organized by the American Arbitration Association, International Center for Dispute Resolution and Columbia Law School on 24 May 2017. A discussion about the movie will follow the film presentation. Since its premiere in Stockholm in January 2017, The Quiet Triumph has been on world tour in Moscow and Beijing.
The conference, on the other hand, will address the challenges, opportunities and expectations on international arbitration. The discussion will cover empirical data relating to arbitration, a topic which has not often been addressed in arbitration-themed seminars. Susan D. Franck, Professor of Law of Washington and Lee University School of Law who has published several articles on this topic will be among the speakers. In addition, the Honorable Justice of Court of Appeal of Ontario Kathryn N. Feldman will address the future of arbitration.
